Alive

Calling all believers ...New life found within the
cross of Christ
For He is risen - Seated high and lifted above all
Above all

All around the world... We sing Your praise -
The anthem of creation
Our God reigns; Let the name of Jesus
Forever be glorified
We are alive in You

Redemption story... Our lives freely given life to see
Salvation drawing
All hearts finding hope in Christ alone
In Christ alone

You are risen
Christ our Saviour

(You alone can satisfy)
(You alone created life)
(You alone are crowned as)
(You alone set captives free)
(You alone have rescued me)

You will listen to the same tracks and get totally different interpretations but the beauty of it is that Christ is revealed. Click here to Enjoy other Tracks in the project

Track 12: Alive*

Jesus died and rose so now I am …

Abiding in the vine

Basking in the light of His Presence

Carried by the wind of the Spirit

Dwelling in the tabernacle where truth reigns

Established in his courts

Furnished by He who is known as the Finisher of Faith

Garrisoned round about with Grace so amazing

Held up by the weight of His glory

In Him! I win

Justified! Just as if I never sinned

Kept! By the Power of the King’s decree

Living in Him, Loved by Him

Made after his likeness,

New! Without the feathers and fetters of the old man

Open Heavens are my roof –

Precious promises are the pavement on which I walk

Quickened by the Spirit, yes!

Resting, restored as I speak the lingua of the Godhead

Sanctified by His Word on my lips, by

Truth that washes me clean

Until I walk as He walks in that perfect measure,

Veiled no longer by the blindness that plagues men in the vale of vanity,

Winning because I am hid in Him,

X marks the spot and the devil can’t find X!!!!

Yes! For this answer is found in Him!

Zion! That is where I am…

For I am Alive in Jesus….

*There are 3 Hillsong tracks that contributed to this post. First we have Alive…which was ministered in the Young and Free album. Second is the Alive in you  ministered in “This is our God” and around which this post (a poem) is themed. Third we have Alive in us ministered in “God is able”.

Petroleum engineer? Yup. But I love writing as much as I love solving complex reservoir engineering problems. Watch out for poetry. Still trying to soar the heights of prose tho' Stay tuned dearies.

  1. sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. Your post is sooooooooooooooo sweet. this has inspired this hymn within me..

Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus
Just to take him at his word
Just to rest upon his promise
Just to know ‘Thus saith the Lord

Jesus, Jesus, How I trust him
    How I’ve proved him o’er and o’er
    Jesus, Jesus, Precious Jesus
O for grace to trust him more..

More grace dear.. thanks for the mention!

  2. I’ve never been a fan of Hillsong, I’ve known of them for a while but today is the first time I’m actually play a video of there’s and listening to one of their songs. It’s awesome music, and sings to God awesomely, but there’s a certain creativity that I yearn for in music, and art in general, that speaks to me volumes of the genius of God, that I don’t really get from Hillsong, or from a lot of other music labelled as christian. Michael Gungor of the band Gungor eloquently describes this phenomenon here > http://www.tribehouse.org/2012/02/zombies-wine-and-christian-music/

Still, the songs has it’s place, I’d sure love to attend a concert of theirs, and I’ll probably be jamming to this for the next few hours. And lovely insights from the song you’ve compiled Dami.

    Cheers to infinitely creative art!
