Yahweh

DAVID_AND_GOLIATH_by_themico

God’s word is on my lips.. His word is in my heart…

Like a freckled shepherd boy clinging to a sling and with stones in his hand I walk to the giant… Fearless because I know that Elyon is with me. Hey guys! I am really enjoying the Haven of Love that God has provided me and I pretty certain that she (my Eve, my Ecclesia) will soon be here. So first, join me as I slay the giant.

For: Victoria

Can you hear the rattling of metal?

Courage pale like wilting petals

Can you smell fear like rotten eggs?

See the horror, faces filled with dread

Can you see the giant tall and fierce?

Covered with venomous steel as his dress

Can you hear his toxic, noxious ranting?

Listen to his army sing, hear their chanting

Where is the God of the Jew?

Tell me if you have a clue

Where is the God that trumped Egypt?

Is he dead and Buried in a crypt?

Where is the God of Moses?

Is he lost in a garden of roses?

Where is the God of the Jew?

Tell me if you have a clue

Can you hear the gentle strumming?

Fingers laced with earnest yearnings

Can you hear his voice caress the night?

His flock listening, always in his sight

Can you catch the lion’s furious rumble?

See the sheep, see how they scramble

Can you see the glare in the shepherd’s eye?

A gentle flame, see the sling by his side

The God of the Jew is alive

His love causes men to thrive

The God of the Jew is a fire

He can neither die nor retire

Moses say He is I AM

Planter of gardens, maker of yam

You ask – where is the God of the Jew?

Right now in infinity-D, He is watching you

Can you hear the philistine bellow?

Distorted dissonance from broken cellos

Can you see the king quivering on his throne?

His vacant skull framed by a crown of bone

Can you hear the soldiers murmur?

“God has left the king” is the latest rumor

Can you see the mothers weeping?

Fear is ripe and rife, none is sleeping

Tell me, tell me where is he?

The one who trampled Jericho like an anthill

Where is your God oh foolish Jew?

Tell me if you have any clue

Where is your God the “I AM”?

Is he a toothless lion, a timid lamb?

Send a man to fight in his name

Come out, save your God from shame

Can you see the shock plastered on faces?

What is young David doing here of all places?

Can you see his weapon? No sword or log

Will a puny pebble impale the gentile dog?

Can you see the archangel draw his sword?

Demon curs inch closer, behold the bizarre crowd

Can you hear the young lad’s riposte?

“I will serve you to the birds as roast”

Can you tell that the giant is confused?

SURELY You wouldn’t want to be in his shoes

Can you hear the swoosh and sweeping swirl?

A stone hurled, fiery with Elyon’s will

Can you hear the clatter and large thud?

For the God of the Jew is no fickle fraud

An abrupt END?

Have you met the God of the Jew?

The God that shed His blood for you?

Tearing the veil that divides

Blood flowing freely from his side…

He wants to meet you. He is no longer just the God of the Jew but to as many as believed Him to them He gives Life anew… He gives the power to become His sons. Will you believe today? Will you receive the power of the Divine species?

Lover, sweet lover

a gentle friend

the God of the Jew

has nothing but love for you.

the stone hit its mark

and the giant sank

our freckled teen’s stone

was laced with power thicker than bones

lover, fiery lover

father of all

the God of the Jew

is God over me and you.

His blood hit its mark

and hell quivered and sank

Immanuel’s veins

broke sin’s back

Petroleum engineer? Yup. But I love writing as much as I love solving complex reservoir engineering problems. Watch out for poetry. Still trying to soar the heights of prose tho' Stay tuned dearies.

  1. If you have any idea how stirred up I am after reading this one ehn…

There exists no light at the end of the tunnel. That’s a truth that we have been oblivious of for centuries.

Here we are today, stable in all our ways because we are in the know!

  2. Powerful piece. Very, very powerful piece. Every line reverbrates with the power of God, can’t pick my favourite. And the rhyme is so beautiful, it didn’t limit you at all. I wish I could write more Christian poems mehn.

  4. God is more than capable. He is the One that will fill the basket to disgrace a bucket. David knew the power of his God, that was why he was not intimidated by the size. God is SUPER-DUPER OVER AWESOME!!!

  5. This has got to be the most POWERFUL write-up I’ve ever seen!!!

The progression! The words! My spirit is so stirred up by this, tears hang loosely in my eyes…as one word reverberates endlessly!!!:

    F E A R L E S S

His perfect love evident. Our eyes and minds fixed on Him, His Word, His Ways. Making the most foolish of things wiser than all.. Glorious Majesty! And with God nothing shall be impossible!!!

More & more I bless God for yhu, Dami. GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU. The oil shall continually flow…
    Thank you.

  6. For who is God, but the Lord ? And who is a rock, except our God?— the God who equipped me with strength and made my way blameless. He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights. He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand supported me, and your gentleness made me great. You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip. For you equipped me with strength for the battle; you made those who rise against me sink under me. (Psalm 18:31-36, 39 ESV)

Your deep messages inspire me… !
Thanks to you, I find myself visiting my bible more than often and the more I know, the more I want to know.
