I CAN

DAY 1 –

And the voice of the Lord came to DAMI in the middle of the Barcelona-ManCity match and said “can a man touch a Live wire and remain the same?” and I answered saying “thou knowest

One hot Harmattan afternoon during a fast as I was flipping through the believer’s dictionary I found out that one word was conspicuously missing. At first I considered it to be an error from the editors of the book but I later found a footnote etched in blood:

“The word Impossible is blotted out of the dictionary of the believer. He walks with God and as such impossible is nothing. The believer has impossibilities and uncertainties for breakfast, lunch and dinner. He is wall-to-wall Holy Ghost. His intestines are lined with adamantium, able to resist the corrosive nature of all earthly difficulty. His face is set as flint!”

Yabba dabba doo!!!

Knowledge of the divine parameters afforded to the believer will instruct us on the nonsensical stance of a believer who still considers situations as impossible. The believer is rooted and built up in Christ. He is fully furnished by the Power and Supply of the Spirit in accordance with the riches of God’s glory. The selfsame spirit that carved out the mountains and descended with aplomb on Pentecost is resident in the believer. He is garrisoned by grace and an entire platoon of celestial sentinels have been given charge over him.

19. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

20. Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

21. Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

The power available to the believer is resurrection power. The very force that surged through the once lifeless bones of the carpenter’s son and tore through the veil of death, reversing entropy’s flow and exalting the itinerant preacher far above principalities and powers. This is the same power that now courses through the veins of saints. There are no upper limits on this power. For surely as the power truncated death’s reign it can do all things!

It is mind-boggling that the same power that raised up Christ from the dead and exalted him above all is the same power made available to those who believe without restriction. This power is not only reserved for the clergy but access is granted to every single individual who dares to believe. This power is not dependent on our feelings either (Philemon 6).

Imagine Light complaining of darkness! Darkness is bread for Light. The lion is fierce and ferocious and lunges fearlessly into every attack because it knows its strength. The strength of the believer is the life-force of the Holy Spirit. Jesus states categorically that the believer receives POWER when the Holy Ghost is come upon him. FEAR NOT! IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING.

Difficulties are meat for you. Relish in them. Jesus relished in the storm. He calmed it. He saw lack and produced abundance #thccfast – Pastor Femi Olaleye

Just as mountains crumble at the sound of his voice, just as seas gather in a heap at the blast of his nostrils, every challenge is sent packing when the believer speaks. The DNA of Christ is in you. You have the code of the creator embedded in your genes. You don’t have to whimper in fear with your tail between your legs like a puppy. Rather let out your HOLY GHOST ROAR in the face of the storms. You are born of God. You are the seed of God.

It is because of this new covenant reality that we blot out words of weakness from our vocabulary. We speak the language of the kingdom that says I CAN DO ALL THINGS. Our lingua reflects the CAN-DO mentality of people who have been declared MORE-THAN-CONQUERORS. We command mountains to fade into the sea. We issue decrees to tumors and tumults, to migraines, mountains and mayhems and they hear our voice!

This is no soap-operatic lingo that borders on the insane. It is the gavel of the great Judge smashing hard and fast, silencing the voices of contradiction and dissonance. We believe and therefore we speak. Can you see the men at Babel, toiling to erect a tower that would kiss the heavens? Can you hear the council of Three speak? They say “behold the sons of men have one language, one mind, nothing shall be impossible for them” …

Now look at the men gathered in the upper room, in Solomon’s Porch, riding in the Ethiopian eunuch’s chariot, on twitter, in churches scattered about from Nigeria to the Niagara – can you hear the devil quiver and mutter to his generals? he says – “how can we defeat these ones – for they are of one mind and they speak with tongues as of fire!” With the Holy Spirit the Christian is never a victim, never alone, never weak. He is a LIVE WIRE…

Petroleum engineer? Yup. But I love writing as much as I love solving complex reservoir engineering problems. Watch out for poetry. Still trying to soar the heights of prose tho' Stay tuned dearies.

  1. Absolutely nothing but the truth piece. U either have it or u don’t. There is no mistaking an encounter with a live wire; touch it & be jolted from your slumber. The believers authority is the one thing we shouldn’t ever trade for anything – it is the power that does the impossible & amazes the world of mortal men.
