There is no God

Dedicated to all the wise ones out there…

There is no God. They believe that blind, unintelligent forces of nature through the haphazard chaos of genetic mutations and the process of natural selection, produced the multitudinous myriads of majestic creatures that inhabit the earth.

Can a proton feel guilt? Will a neutron spread itself and sorrow over the death of a loved one? Yet atheists believe that from a tiny speck of inorganic, self-created matter, human consciousness and moral sensitivity evolved. Can they not see the utter ludicrousness in this pattern of thinking? Can you see it? Will you go to that rock poised gallantly on the roadside and begin a conversation with it? Surely the words of King David are bankable when he said “the fool has said in his heart there is no god”.

“Well as president of the Universal Guild of Fools we are coming out boldly to declare in all your faces that ain’t there any being out there like God. Iss all nothing folks.”Anonymous Fool

Consider the notion also from free-thinkers who regard morality as the mere result of survival. They suggest that that morality developed simply as a survival factor. Ask them if plants have a moral code or if the monkeys that prance from tree to tree gather in courts of law to arbitrate issues. Even the donkey that spoke to Balaam will tell you that this kind of thinking is asinine in the extreme.

Look at your body sprawling with over hundred trillion constituent elements (cells) organized into ten magnificent systems (Digestive, Endocrine, Integumentary, Muscular, Nervous, Reproductive, Respiratory, Skeletal, Excretory/Urinary, and Circulatory). Are you not impressed by the absolute functionality of what atheists dare to call the result of marriage between Mother Nature and Father Time? They suggest that biological life was accidentally generated from inorganic materials. They abandon logic and opt quite conveniently for the myth of “spontaneous generation” because the only other alternative is “IN THE BEGINNING GOD…”

Their supposedly iron-clad defense is this: There is no God. They believe that blind, unintelligent forces of nature through the haphazard chaos of genetic mutations and the process of natural selection, produced the multitudinous myriads of majestic creatures that inhabit the earth. Look at your iPhone with its intricate design and you know it is the fruit of Steve Jobs mind. Even a blind man will feel a simple pair of pliers, with ONLY four components and know that it must have been designed by an intelligent being.

Paul declares men have refused to have God in their knowledge. Despite their lofty fantasy that they are intellectuals they have descended into the murky waters of foolishness. For when men cease to believe in God, they do not believe in nothing; they believe in anything. Are you living your life like there is no God? Pick up your common sense from the dustbin you threw it and think for a moment. Are you who are supposed to be brimming with the life of Christ living as though you were dead?

Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips –Psalm 141:3

Isaiah utters great words when he states without fear “they that dwell in Zion shall not say I am sick”. Why then do you speak like one ignorant of God’s greatness? What is the difference between you and the atheist? You claim #TeamJESUS yet you seat at the table of the wicked, eat of their dainties and pay homage to their deities. Let Christ reside firmly in your knowledge. Let your eyes be unto the Lord. Fix your gaze solidly on his grace, jump into the oceans of his love.

Faith is not illogical. It is leaning entirely on the LOGIC OF GRACE. For even Christ declares that “eternal knowledge is knowing God”. Paul desires to know more and more of God. Do you know Him? Are you relying on your own vain understanding? Are you relying on your works despite the fact that God already makes Grace available to you? are you living as though there is no God?

Wow. This just relates with my Bible Study this morning!! Refer to Isaiah 29:14, 16. Infact, the whole book of Isaiah! Humanity is proud and wise in their own eyes, and that will be their end. They think they know, and they dare to question the potency of the Creator, yet they lack understanding. – Dunidoxa

I hope I wasn’t rambling too much. JMD challenged me to give an answer to the atheists who consider God to be the figment of a lunatic’s imagination. As I wrote this I realized that this journey of Grace is one that daily reminds me of God’s greatness. I implore you to listen to the call of the deep.

Petroleum engineer? Yup. But I love writing as much as I love solving complex reservoir engineering problems. Watch out for poetry. Still trying to soar the heights of prose tho' Stay tuned dearies.

  1. It is making me think
    It certainly does that.
I don’t need any proof that there is a God
    I believe!

There was a time I needed proof that there is a God that cares enough to speak to you
Today I don’t need any proof, when I see the sun rising I give Him praise.
    Cool!

One word of advice: stay on that journey to getting to understand grace better, God may just have something unexpected planned for you on the journey to embrace fully the grace of God

This piece is very passionate! God bless you.

  4. I never want to have anything to do with anyone that can ask such a question. I’m not sorry for that.

Even scientist know that all there is a greater power and structure behind the establishment of the universe.

Everywhere you look, you see God. Now, Its is only a BIG FOOL that will decide to close his/her eyes to it.

This is arousing some sort of anger in me. Let me just take a back seat and drink cold water.

  5. Hmm. You were rambling, but it was logical, coherent…and arresting.

I liked it. I enjoy discourses with open-minded ‘atheists’ because…well, it builds my faith.

    Thank you for sharing.

  6. I sympathise with people who are atheists, skeptics, agnostics. I have a couple of them as friends and I wouldn’t trade them for anything. Some days when I talk to them about God, I wish they could see life through my eyes but that impossible so I try to present the gospel to them in a new and almost logical way. Like Paul did in Athens. In a way they can understand and I pray that the Holy Spirit touches their hearts.

  7. Yes, He does exist.

Like Ibukun said, I pray for grace to present a gospel that God can breathe upon and reach the toughest of atheists. I pray that the love and light that reflects from my everyday life is able to speak to the grace i have received and preach louder than any words I can share as to the validity of God’s existence. Amen!

  9. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. 1 John 5:13. John said that our faith is based on knowledge, not blindness. Wonderful post. Keep proclaiming the truth. God bless, Maria from “http://delightdirectedliving.blogspot.com/”

Even the toughest atheist can attest to the fact that some questions have no answer. The problem with digging to much is you end up hitting rock bottom where you can’t dig further and you find yourself where you started from_the very beginning.

The question I think most people want answers to but are afraid to ask is, ‘who is this God?’ The knowledge of Him can change your entire life!

There is a void in every (wo)man that only God can fill. Till that void is filled, you are yet to find Him and you can only live in self denial for a while.
Look around you, God is everywhere, in everything!!

I have some really smart people around me who are atheists. We talk logically, I chip God in but I don’t push. When all is said and done, this decision is between a man and His maker and next time we are tempted to feel sorry or hate, we can look up and thank Him for grace. But for grace, we would be in their shoes.

I love this piece, it’s really thought provoking.

I think in the deepest part of the heart of an atheist he knows that there is God he doesn’t just want to accept it. More grace Dammy!
