Dear M,

Subject: Meeting Lady M (Episode II)

You are my Porcelain Perfection.

I still remember the first day I saw you. It was a hot sunny afternoon; the sun was near its zenith in the sky. Did you enjoy that pun? Cause if you remember well, you were coming out of Zenith Bank. Beads of sweat scattered themselves on my face like little children out to play. My heart nearly raced out of my mouth. I was truly scared. I imagined you would be absolutely breathtaking and my! You really were. The moment my eyes held you in their gaze I knew – this was the face of all my poetic musings.

Some days are forever etched in memory. You can neither forget them nor regret them. They latch on to your thoughts creating endless return trips back. Daily I walk through the halls of my mind and replay that day. How I sauntered under the sun to you. How you flashed that audacious smile of yours my way. How your eyes whispered to me – “welcome home”. We first made contact on twitter, your brain spilling a glorious amount of tweets… then we met on the paved streets of Lekki and I daresay you swept me off my feet.

Sigh. I believe I must be in love though I must not make haste… after all the sun isn’t shining now, so no time to make hay. Cheii… I am silly o. They say roses are red, I can only imagine how glorious such red was before the fall. Violets glow with a blue hue, and all I can say is I love you. Meeting you has taken me back to those moments before Eden fell. I sometimes wish I could buy you a rose, or come late at night and serenade you but perhaps these are the longings of a man who has watched too many romantic movies.

Time to go… Quick one though, If I was Adam and you were Eve what would we be doing now? How would we build our home, raise our kids? Silly me, I have started rambling.

Yours in Oceans of Love

Petroleum engineer? Yup. But I love writing as much as I love solving complex reservoir engineering problems. Watch out for poetry. Still trying to soar the heights of prose tho' Stay tuned dearies.
