I was having cookies and coffee (P.S I have never tasted coffee – not like that is newsworthy) with Christ and decided to ask Him this question… “Who is the Man in Christ…” He turned to me with a large smile stretching from cheek to cheek and replied… A man born abnormal whose daily walk is an engagement of the Word A man living above normalcy whose eyes see beyond the mist and maze of misery whose heart is the turf on which the kingdom operates his lips drip with the honey of value and royalty that lights a fire in the souls that surround even the denizens of the valley of death yearn for a touch from him for he is one who lives consistently a man remembered of God, God’s unleashed glory on two feet… performing wondrous acts and simple feats, a man insured by God.. for He is kept in Elyon’s arms none can pluck him out

Letter to the kids

My Sweet Babies, A light gleams in the darkness, gentle, soft in the calmness of night. I am writing this under the tender glow of candle because I have this odd mindset that it is more in keeping with my poetic nature. Your dad is weird like that. I am hunched over my journal with a pen clutched in my hand; my brain is racked beyond words. It is a pleasant agony however thinking about the poetic phrases and chic clauses that would form this letter. For the first time in my life I am truly speechless. You see your daddy prides himself on being a connoisseur on words but right now those words that will hopefully capture your mother’s heart are seeping through my mind cracks. My heart is awfully overwhelmed by the reality that I, small me, will bring (via your mother) another being(S) into this blue globe. I cannot imagine the words that would welcome you home.

You will read this because you must. You will read this and watch as the eye of your understanding is freed from the rust. You will read this and indeed you will trust. For this has been quarried from Zion’s crust.  The deep of the sea is nothing compared to the depths of His Love for me.  Selah – Damilare ENJOY Let me tell you this: how I was a wretch, wandering the wastelands of my own existence. Tensed, bound by the brokenness and bitterness of self. How I wallowed in woes, worry and wormholes, till my life was stripped of wonder and all I could see was shortcut into void and chaos. If I could I would ask you to spare a minute just to listen to the melody of the nadir.    Between the soul-wrenching yelps of the demon cur and the lustful clamor of the debauchee I found myself making petitions to gods I had forged after my

Heaven

It is high noon in the city of Lagos. Horn-free day but there is a racket deep in the heart of Oyingbo.  “Don’t you want to make Heaven?”. The modern day preacher screams “To him that stands, let him take heed lest he falls,” with a solemn look on his face he whispers almost dramatically “God will keep us rapturable in Jesus name.” At the heart of the “gospel” being preached today is that despite being a citizen of heaven the christian is still not guaranteed an automatic slot in heaven. It is said that up till the time of every believer’s last breath on earth, his name must be found in the book of life OR ELSE… According to them (folk in the class of our modern preacher above) the key requirements to heaven are: 1. Holiness 2. Righteousness 3. Truthfulness Rapturable ke? Requirements ke? Holiness, Righteousness are scriptural concepts. But kindly check them in scriptures, they are gifts and the

The CALL

Happy New Year Please check out my new ebook “Cookies with Christ” here: http://goo.gl/OyMvAm Enjoy Do you want to know who you are? Is your mind befuddled by questions of your purpose? I would ask you to take a chill pill while I reveal the mind of God as encoded in scripture. When God gazes into a mirror. The face smiling back at Him is you. You are the apple of his eye (Psalm 17:8). A choice fruit that tantalizes his God-senses and excite him. You are the tasty essence of the God-life: THE FRUIT OF REDEMPTION. You were not just bought with a price. Anyone can go into a market and purchase an item of merchandise. You can waltz into a shopping mall, flash your credit card and if you are deep-pocketed, walk away with any item of your choice. God didn’t merely ransom you or redeem. You are not just any ordinary folk. You are the living essence of
