He is the loftiest thought in all of literature? He is more than just stories told… He is the Word. He is more than just a page turner. He is that one who walked into the grave and broke it chains. The same one who ventured into the nether reaches of hell and smashed the hold of inordinate ordinances. He is the one who turn around our captivity, leading captivity captive. He is more than a carpenter… He is the one nailed to a beam, whose blood plastered forgiveness on all humanity. The one who embraced our humanity and our iniquity and with one fell swoop crushed sin, sickness and strife. The one whose hands planted the stars in the fields of space and healed the scars on our face. He is more.  Who can measure the worth of a soul? For what price would you trade yours? Yet He empties himself for you.  He barters all His divinity –

It is high noon in the city of Lagos. Horn-free day but there is a racket deep in the heart of Oyingbo.  “Don’t you want to make Heaven?”. The modern day preacher screams “To him that stands, let him take heed lest he falls,” with a solemn look on his face he whispers almost dramatically “God will keep us rapturable in Jesus name.” At the heart of the “gospel” being preached today is that despite being a citizen of heaven the christian is still not guaranteed an automatic slot in heaven. It is said that up till the time of every believer’s last breath on earth, his name must be found in the book of life OR ELSE… According to them (folk in the class of our modern preacher above) the key requirements to heaven are: 1. Holiness 2. Righteousness 3. Truthfulness Rapturable ke? Requirements ke? Holiness, Righteousness are scriptural concepts. But kindly check them in scriptures, they are gifts and the

Happy New Year Please check out my new ebook “Cookies with Christ” here: Enjoy Do you want to know who you are? Is your mind befuddled by questions of your purpose? I would ask you to take a chill pill while I reveal the mind of God as encoded in scripture. When God gazes into a mirror. The face smiling back at Him is you. You are the apple of his eye (Psalm 17:8). A choice fruit that tantalizes his God-senses and excite him. You are the tasty essence of the God-life: THE FRUIT OF REDEMPTION. You were not just bought with a price. Anyone can go into a market and purchase an item of merchandise. You can waltz into a shopping mall, flash your credit card and if you are deep-pocketed, walk away with any item of your choice. God didn’t merely ransom you or redeem. You are not just any ordinary folk. You are the living essence of

Don’t Judge Me

“Judge not” (Matt 7:1) but “REPROVE, REBUKE, EXHORT with all longsuffering and doctrine” (2 Tim.4:2); “Wherefore REBUKE THEM SHARPLY, that they may be sound in the faith” (Tit1:13); “These things speak, and EXHORT, AND REBUKE WITH ALL AUTHORITY. Let no man despise thee” (Tit 2:15). “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and IS PROFITABLE FOR DOCTRINE, FOR REPROOF, FOR CORRECTION, FOR INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works”. 2 Tim. 3:16. It is necessary therefore, to have a BALANCED UNDERSTANDING of the Word of God. Many ignorant “Christians” may want to run away with the Word of Christ, which says, “Judge not”, but you need to understand that there is a DIFFERENCE between judging and correcting. DON’T QUOTE “Judge not” to support your sinfulness, unrighteousness or prevent others from correcting or rebuking you for what you have done wrong. Don’t corrupt the Word of God or quote it

Disclaimer: I believe a church is a place where the worn and wounded can find peace. I believe it is a place where the wandering soul can find rest and the wondering soul can find answers to the deepest, darkest questions of the heart. It is a place of communion and fellowship where iron sharpens iron and the dross of life is cut away by the twin-edged blade of Love. But beyond the poetic musings of this writer I believe it is a place where the saints are matured, where they stand daily before the mirror of the Word and steadily manifest to the world the IMAGE OF CHRIST.  I can still remember my first time He was kind and tender, His touches were not forceful rather they were assuring. I closed my eyes and surrendered to Him, allowing Him cut away the rust and rubble of my gnarled heart, till he arrived at the ruby within that seemed to
